Sadvidya Patashala was started in the year 1854 on the verandha of Sri Hampi Urs, a noble in the court of Maharaja of Mysore. It was shifted to the current location in the year 1870. The building was donated by Sri Gunja Narasimhaiah at the behest of the then ruler of Mysore. In 1999 Sadvidya Composite PU College was started to give tertiary education by the initiative of Prof. Arkanath, the then Secretary of Sadvidya Educational Institution.

Physics Lab-1 : : Caters to First PU Students. Importance is given to students to perform experiments individually
Physics Lab-2 : Caters to Second PU Students. All instruments and gadgets are of excellent make and we insist on every student does the experiments independently.
Chemistry Lab-1 : This is I PUC Lab which is spacious and self sufficient.
Chemistry Lab-2 : This lab has been renovated this year providing all facilities to the students to safely conduct experiments
Bio Lab -1 :Lab has been equipped with modern technology including LED panels to help the students to learn better
Bio Lab -2 :Lab has been provided with modern gadgets including sophisticated microscopes.
