Dear Parents, Students and Citizens of Mysuru,
It gives me immense pleasure speak about our 172 years old Educational Institution. I am really fortunate and blessed to be the President of Sadvidya Educational Institutions Mysuru, which was started in the year 1854, inside the Royal Palace of Mysuru on the veranda of Sri Hampe Urs in the year 1854. It was shifted to the present location in 1870. The heritage building in the front, housing the Management office was donated by a great philanthropist Sri Gunja Narasimhaiah. The institution has grown leaps and bounds due to the nurturing and blessings of the citizens of Mysuru.
The Institution is immensely thankful to the citizens of Mysuru for the love and affection they have showered on the Institution.
The Institution has two centres, one on Narayana Shastri Road and the other in Vijayanagar Second Stage. About 4300 students are being educated from Pre-KG to Second PUC. The name and fame of the institution is entirely due to the dedicated and devoted teachers who are continually striving for the welfare of the students and the Management which is always thinking about development, upliftment and welfare of both the students and the staff. The institution has spacious classrooms, smart boards and well-equipped laboratories. The library is stacked with thousands of books on all subjects. For transportation, there are buses which are operated by trained bus drivers. The progress of the students is closely monitored by mentors who inform the parents periodically about the progress. Sadvidya believes in fulfilling the promises made. Our integrated program run by Pragati Sadvidya is yielding good results. We can assure the parents that their wards are well looked after. We hope that the citizens of Mysuru will continue to support us in our endeavour to provide quality education to their wards.
